Tuna Melt Sandwich Recipe - bhaarat recipe


You love tuna and want a quick delicious snack? Try this delicious bruschetta-style sandwich, or make it the style you want because this is a very versatile dish, that you can mix your favorite combos or also change the mayo and the cheese to low-fat options. And at the end, you can top it with many cheese slices you want to make it even more tasteful!

Yields: Makes 4 Units 

Ingredients:


6 oz can solid Tuna, well drained 

¼ cup Mayonnaise (regular or low-fat) 

2 tbsp of fresh Lemon juice (or 1 tsp of red wine vinegar) 

1 large celery rib, finely chopped 

2 green onions, finely chopped 

1 tbsp of fresh parsley, finely chopped 

4 large slices of Pumpernickel Bread or Rye Bread 

4 Tomatoes, sliced 4 slices of Swiss cheese or Mozzarella cheese (or Low-fat cheese) 

Regular white Salt or seasoned Salt Lemon or Black Pepper

Method of Preparation Tuna Melt Sandwich 


1.First, turn on the oven to broiler heat. 

2. Now put in a bowl. the tuna, mayonnaise, lemon juice or the vinegar, celery, green onions and parsley. 

3. Mix all the ingredients in the bowl very well and keep it aside. 

4. Put the slices of bread in the baking pan and broil for one minute or until is lightly toasted. 

5. Remove them from the oven and spread the tuna mixture over the bread slices. 

6. Place the cheese slices over the tuna, then the tomato slice, and then another cheese slice on top (here you can use many cheese and tomato slices you wish). 

7. Return the bread slices, now covered with the tuna mix, tomato and cheese, for about 3 minutes or until when the cheese is melted.
